Has anyone bought an southern california resident e-ticket for disneyland and not living in southern californi?

my parents live in southern california but are unable to go with us to disneyland to purchase the discount tickets. I want to buy the tickets online as an e-ticket. Do they check Id at the turnstile?

Answer :
yes, you will have to provide your california ID upon entry

Answer :
In the past, if bought the 2-fer tickets at Von's, Disneyland employees were pretty lax about checking ID's at the turnstiles. Back in the days when the ticket was just a voucher, you used to have to turn it in at the ticket booth, and they checked ID there. Now that the tickets are actual entry passes, you can go straight to the turnstile. Once at the turnstile, there's little to no enforcement of that policy. I can't guarantee they won't ask for ID, but there's very little chance from what I've seen. They don't really stop to ask for ID on the 2-fers.

Answer :
Tickets purchased online are actually vouchers that you present at Will Call or the ticket booths and exchange for park tickets. They do check ID at that time and, if you're not a SoCal resident, you will be required to purchase the correct ticket at that time.

Grocery stores like Vons are carrying the SoCal 2fer tickets and don't check ID at the time of purchase, nor does Disney check the ID on these tickets at the gate (but they can and have the right to do so). The downside to the 2fer is that you can only visit one park per day and must return another day to visit the second park.
